Lakers Win NBA Championship; LeBron Wins Finals MVP
The Los Angeles Lakers are officially the 2020 NBA champions! After a long, tumultuous year, a hectic season, and 21 dominant playoff games, the franchise has claimed their 17th championship, tied for the most all-time. Tonight, they cruised to victory in game 6 over the Miami Heat, winning 106-93 behind LeBron James' triple-double and multiple stellar performances across the board. This championship marks LeBron's 4th title, and also makes him the first player in NBA history to win finals MVP with three different teams. It also marks the first championship for many of his teammates, including fellow all-star Anthony Davis, Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, KCP, and Dwight Howard. After a long, eventful season, the Lakers finally get to hold that coveted championship trophy.
