No other movement in sport subjects a human limb to more force than the step in the triple jump. How much force? Up to 22 times the athlete body weight which equals about 3600 pounds on one leg (or the weight of a fully grown rhino). And that is just one of the reasons the triple jump might be the most underrated event in track and field. This video highlights an incredible track and field event at 1000 frames per second from the hop to the step to the jump.
